Chinese robotaxi companies Enter the Efficiency Decisive Period, CaoCao Mobility Builds Value System with Full-Factor Closed-Loop Ecosystem

Since 2026, CaoCao Mobility has continued to advance its robotaxi commercialization deployment, accelerating capability building around intelligent purpose-built vehicles + intelligent driving technology + intelligent operations, and continuously validating its autonomous driving service model through real urban operation scenarios. As Robotaxi gradually transitions from technology testing to robotaxi commercialization exploration, industry focus has shifted from pure autonomous driving capabilities to comprehensive capabilities such as vehicle R&D, operational efficiency, infrastructure, and user services. As a Chinese robotaxi companies player continuously exploring commercialization, CaoCao Mobility is refining its own operation system through full-factor synergy.

The China’s Robotaxi industry has achieved multi-stage leaps from concept validation to road testing and then to small-scale pilot operations. In the early days of the industry, competition centered on autonomous driving technology itself, with players competing on perception accuracy, decision-making speed, and scenario coverage. However, as L4 autonomous driving technology gradually crosses the usability threshold, the core contradiction of the industry has shifted to “whether it can achieve scaled profitability.” This requires not only mature autonomous driving algorithms, but also dedicated vehicles adapted to operational scenarios, efficient fleet dispatching and operation & maintenance systems, complete user service and safety assurance mechanisms, and controllable full-lifecycle costs.

As the most important commercialization vehicle for Geely Holding Group’s Robotaxi, CaoCao Mobility has built a trinity full-factor closed-loop ecosystem centered on “intelligent purpose-built vehicles + intelligent driving technology + intelligent operations“. On the vehicle side, the company continues to advance product R&D for autonomous driving operation scenarios; on the technology side, it continuously improves intelligent driving capabilities; on the operations side, it applies the vehicle dispatching, user service, and capacity management experience accumulated from its existing mobility platform to Robotaxi scenarios, exploring a complete link from vehicle investment to daily operations.

Operational foundation is an important support for Robotaxi to move towards scale. As of December 31, 2025, CaoCao Mobility’s service network covered 195 cities across the country, completing over 1.9 billion travel services, and extended to 42 overseas countries. The long-established mobility platform operation experience has enabled it to have a relatively mature practical foundation in capacity dispatching, vehicle management, and user services, and also provided operational experience for Robotaxi to further enter real urban environments.

Currently, CaoCao Mobility has deployed 100 Robotaxis in Binjiang District, Hangzhou, and built a Green Intelligent Mobility Hub to provide support for autonomous driving fleets such as vehicle energy replenishment, dispatching, and operation guarantee. Compared with single vehicle testing, the synchronous construction of this infrastructure and vehicle operation system pays more attention to the overall guarantee capability required for long-term Robotaxi operation, and is also an important link that Chinese robotaxi companies need to solve in the process from technology verification to scale operation.

In terms of vehicle products, Eva Cab, a purpose-built robotaxi with CaoCao Mobility’s deep involvement in product definition and R&D, has been officially unveiled. The model adopts a design without a front passenger seat or steering wheel, and is developed around the operational needs of autonomous driving to adapt to future robotaxi commercialization operation scenarios. According to the plan, CaoCao Mobility’s deeply customized purpose-built robotaxi will enter mass production in 2027, providing a vehicle foundation for the subsequent scaled expansion of autonomous driving fleets.

In addition to robotaxi commercialization exploration, CaoCao Mobility is also continuously promoting international cooperation on Robotaxi. Since 2025, the company has carried out strategic cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and further promoted cooperation with K2 Group and May Mobility to explore robotaxi commercialization deployment and operation models around the Middle East and European markets. The simultaneous advancement of domestic urban operations and overseas market exploration also enables it to accumulate operational experience in different traffic environments and application scenarios.

From the perspective of current industry development, robotaxi commercialization is no longer just a single-point competition of autonomous driving technology, but is gradually shifting to system synergy among vehicles, technology, operations, and infrastructure. For Chinese robotaxi companies, how to transform technological capabilities into stable and sustainable urban service capabilities remains a question that needs continuous verification in the next stage.

For CaoCao Mobility, from Eva Cab product R&D, to Robotaxi operation in Binjiang District, Hangzhou, to the Green Intelligent Mobility Hub and overseas cooperation, its layout is gradually forming a complete link from vehicles to operations, from urban applications to cross-regional exploration. As related businesses continue to advance, CaoCao Mobility will also continue to focus on robotaxi commercialization operation capability building, accumulating more practical experience for the scaled development of Chinese robotaxi companies.
